LOW-BACK PAIN
Back pain is a common phenomenon among adults that causes great difficulty in their daily lives. Depending on the problem you have, exercise can reduce or eliminate the pain.
| Research shows that almost 80% of the population will experience back pain at some point in their lives. Usually the first time pain occurs is between the ages of 30-50. However, as you get older the chances of experiencing back pain increase. The most common causes of back pain are from injury or from a disease, such as overuse (doing the same movements over and over), accidents (falling), degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. Another very important cause is a sedentary lifestyle. Another research paper in the journal Applied Ergonomics found that there is an association between a sedentary lifestyle and chronic low back pain.
There is always a reason for back pain
In general, there are many myths about back pain, such as that we can't find the cause. But with a proper assessment you can find it.
Regarding the cause of back pain let us be clear, there is always a specific cause; it is not something vague. The pain is aggravated by certain movements, certain weight you may lift or a certain posture you have. But similarly the patient can be relieved in the same ways i.e. by correct his movements, postures and appropriate loads. It is the properly educated personal trainer who, with proper planning, can in most cases help the patient toimprove his quality of life by reducing or eliminating their back pain.
